Marissa Chacaj-Solis LMT, CPST
Post-Plastic Surgery Recovery Specialist
Recovery after plastic surgery doesn’t end when the procedure is over, it begins a new phase of healing that requires patience, understanding, and the right kind of support. My work helps clients navigate this stage with confidence, comfort, and clarity.
I've designed a phase-based approach to post-plastic surgery recovery developed through more than 15 years of hands-on clinical experience working with the body through injury, dysfunction, and healing. This method is built on a simple principle: care must be guided by the body’s stage of healing, not a routine.
Post-operative recovery is constantly changing. Swelling shifts, tissues adapt, and sensations evolve week by week. Treatment is adjusted in real time to support each phase of recovery, from early healing and fluid management to scar maturation and long-term tissue mobility.
Many clients arrive feeling unsure about what is normal or how to best support their results. My role is not only to provide specialized recovery care, but also to offer reassurance and guidance so healing feels more predictable and supported. Sessions are intentional and always aligned with surgical timelines and surgeon recommendations.
My approach focuses on supporting the body, helping clients feel safe in their recovery while allowing healing to unfold with the support it deserves so you obtain the best possible outcome. I believe recovery deserves expertise, patience, and thoughtful care, because how you heal matters just as much as the procedure itself.
Acute Healing (0–3 Weeks)
The body focuses on protection and inflammation management. Swelling, fluid shifts, and sensitivity are normal during this phase. Care is gentle and supportive.
Subacute Recovery (3–8 Weeks)
Swelling gradually changes as tissues reorganize. Support focuses on comfort, mobility, and adapting to the body’s evolving healing response.
Remodeling Phase (2–6 Months+)
Tissues continue maturing long after surgery. Care may focus on supporting mobility, comfort, and healthy tissue adaptation as healing progresses.
I Work Alongside Your Surgical Team
Post-operative care is provided with respect for your surgeon’s recommendations and individual healing timelines. Treatment complements, not replaces, medical care and is adapted to each stage of recovery. Communication with your surgical team is welcomed when appropriate to help support a safe and comfortable recovery experience.

As healing progressed, Endermotherapy was introduced to gently support tissue mobility and comfort during the remodeling phase of recovery. The treatment helped soften areas of firmness, improve tissue movement beneath the skin, and support a smoother, more uniform appearance as swelling resolved and tissues adapted naturally over time.

During the remodeling phase of healing, advanced modalities are introduced to support circulation, tissue comfort, and healthy adaptation. Treatment focused on helping areas of residual swelling and firmness gradually soften, allowing tissues to move more freely and appear smoother as recovery progressed.

LymphaTouch therapy is used to gently support fluid movement and tissue comfort during recovery. The treatment uses controlled negative pressure to assist areas of swelling and tissue restriction, helping support circulation and encourage natural fluid movement as healing progresses. Care is applied according to the stage of recovery to promote comfort, improve tissue mobility, and support a smoother healing process over time.
